Derrell Hendrix is CEO of The Open Models Valuation Company. He is also CEO of Karson Management (Bermuda) Limited, which he established in 2007 together with Stephen Lawrence. Derrell also founded The RISConsulting Group LLC, a consulting and advisory firm launched in 1996 with Hannover Re, specializing in cutting-edge financial risk and capital management solutions for top-tier institutions worldwide. Derrell has developed a comprehensive and unique profile in the field of complex financial risk management and led RISConsulting to the successful conclusion of over $7 billion in high-profile risk transfer and financing transactions from 1996 to 2008. Prior to founding RISConsulting, Derrell was involved in international financial markets for over 20 years. He spent 18 years at Citibank in various international locations, where he held senior positions in relationship management, derivatives and securities trading as well as derivatives structuring. Derrell was instrumental in creating Citibank's insurance derivatives business and concluded the first Hannover Re Cat bond transaction in 1994. Derrell left Citibank to join The Bank of Boston in Boston in 1995, where he assumed responsibility for derivatives trading, sales and structuring. During this time, Derrell contributed further to the evolution of the insurance derivatives market by developing the first reinsurance-linked swap transaction. From 2001 to 2007, Derrell also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Converium AG (acquired by SCOR in 2006). Derrell received a B.A. (Magna cum Laude) from Amherst College and an M.A. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
James Hobbs, Director
James Hobbs is a senior executive with extensive experience in the commercialization of innovative technologies. His business background demonstrates a successful track record in starting and managing companies, raising private and public equity capital, creating business development opportunities with strategic corporate partners in the U.S. and internationally, and executing high value mergers and acquisitions. Over the past several years he has served as an investor, advisor, and board member to a number of early stage companies. Currently, Mr. Hobbs serves as a founder and Chairman of the Board for ZyCal Bioceutical, a nutritional supplement company. He is a founder and general partner for Parametrics Medical LLC, and on the Board of Directors of OMV LLC. He is also the Managing Partner of Graylyn Associates Inc.
Louis Suárez-Potts is a marketing and community strategist specializing in open-source and related commons-based peer networks. Currently the president of Age of Peers, Inc., a management consultancy he cofounded, Suárez-Potts previously led the OpenOffice.org community as its community manager from its inception in 2000 until its transfer to the Apache Software Foundation, in 2011. During this period, Suárez-Potts was employed by CollabNet, Sun Microsystems, Inc., and Oracle as a leading community manager; he also consulted on various community development projects on behalf of his employers, and spoke on both pragmatic and academic issues related to productive peer networks, open standards, and the political and economic impact of emerging social media technologies. Suárez-Potts earned a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and is writing on the problem and potential of commons-based peer networks and their relation to public and private corporate interests and structures.
Andrew joined The RISConsulting Group LLC in 1998 and is a Managing Director. Andrew has been providing a variety of services to group companies, pursuant to their service agreements with RISConsulting. He also serves as a Director of certain transaction specific US domiciled special purpose Karson companies. At RISConsulting, Andrew has been instrumental in the origination, structuring and distribution of a variety of transactions including life reinsurance securitizations, catastrophe bond transactions, agent commission securitizations, alternative reinsurance collateral transactions and various credit enhancement transactions. He has also served as project manager for the launch of specialist structured finance vehicles.
Andrew received an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.A. from Denison University.
Harry has worked for over 15 years with prudential regulators of financial institutions and undertaken consulting work for a range of financial institutions and service providersin Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. These institutions have applied his work to improve their risk management practices, comply with regulations and transfer financial risks. Harry is responsible for model validation and model integration, including the OMV macroeconomic model that will form the foundation for Modeling Member calculations. His expertise is in the area of Asset Pricing, Banking, Financial Risk Measurement and Management, Home Equite Release, Insurance, Liquidity, Mortgages, Prudential Regulation, Real Estate and Structured Finance.
Harry’s research work has been widely published in the journal of European Financial Management, International Review of Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Financial Research. He has a PhD in Finance from the University of Regensburg, Germany.

The RISConsulting Group LLC, a Boston-based consulting firm, is the largest shareholder in OMV. OMV’s other key shareholders include Donald Layton, Charles Bralver, Derrell Hendrix and Craig Heimark.
